The LOADTRAINER is a powerful training tool for any Utility serious about keeping their linemen up-to-date on in field troubleshooting and problem solving. Great way to maintain productivity even on rainy days. The model XFMR-2 model is a refinement of the basic XFMR-1 unit to provide training personnel the capability to duplicate even more potential in field problem situations!
Transformer output voltages on the XFMR-2 are made by direct selection on the wiring board face, like in-field conditions. As a result, this system provides the unique ability to offer additional toggle switch options which can now simulate an open primary and or an open secondary.
1 phase or 3 phase wiring hookups can be simulated. Delta-Delta, Delta-Wye, Open Delta-Open Delta, Wye-Delta, Wye-Wye, Wye, or one leg out-open Delta transfomers can be duplicated. The product incorporates eight (8) multi-position toggle switches which are used to produce a multitude of routine in field problems such as low voltage bushing hookups, polarity and high side phasing. Numerous situations can be duplicated to produce transformer backfeed with front panel indicator lights which glow when a backfeed condition occurs. The large easy to read front panel meter reads actual secondary side output voltage up to 500 v.ac. Each LOADTRAINER supplied with an extra large assortment of banana leads. Available options include a phase rotation meter and additional banana leads.
As another option Utility Solutions also offers the XFMR-2 LOADTRAINER with a mother board and a slave board. This parallel slave board option permits twice as many training personnel simultaneously using the same power supply.
The protective carrying cases housing the LOADTRAINER are UPS shipable. This provides a very economic means to provide linemen training at remote locations rather than bring linemen to a central training facility with the associated travel costs. The LOADTRAINER requires 1 outlet with 110 v.a.c. for power.
