Seized elbows are a serious problem to solve in the field. The Elbow Mule is designed to remove even the most difficult elbow. Slow but extremely effective the elbow mule uses a gear puller design and is able to apply tons of mechanical force on the elbow assuring the seized elbow will break free. The tighter the seized elbow the higher the mechanical forces the Elbow Mule is able to apply. Proper operation of the elbow mule requires the use of a shotgun stick.

The Elbow Mule incorporates inboard and outboard legs. The inboard legs compress tightly around the body of the seized elbow. The outboard legs rest against the front plate to provide a slow but controlled force to push the elbow free. No impact force is employed which could damage the pad gear or cause operator injury.
Note - the Elbow Mule is designed to free the seized elbow only. As soon as the operator gets visual confirmation the seal has been broken the Elbow Mule should be removed and use of a conventional shotgun stick or other approved tool used to remove and park the elbow.

Both inboard legs and outboard legs of the Elbow Mule are manufactured from electrical rated fiberglass. The outboard legs have a number of factory drilled holes to permit the operator to successfully use the elbow mule on a wide variety of front plate configurations.

The Elbow Mule is only 1.5" high for easy storage and comes with a convenient soft carrying case.
