Hotline work practices do not permit energized lines from crossing another phase. When working with jumper leads this is a difficult task for jumper leads usually sag during use and tend to cross lower phases creating a potentially dangerous situation.

The Jumper Hook is designed especially to easily prevent cross phasing without the use of time consuming tapes, bungee cord or ropes. The jumper hook can be hand installed and also has a side hole to permit remote installation with a shotgun stick. Position a number of Jumper Hooks over conventional class 2 or class 3 line hose. Simply place the jumper lead in the lower portion of the Jumper Hook to keep parallel to the main line and prevent sagging.

The Jumper Hook is manufactured from a tough weather resistant polymer. The jumper hook exhibits over 50 kV flashover resistance and resistance to tracking. Supplied in safety yellow color.
