LIGHT Weighing under 5 pounds, the XLT line of Load Break Tools are by far the lightest portable load break tools available in the world. The XLT-1 is approximately 1 lb 3 oz lighter than the competition. Tool weight becomes extremely important when the tool is attached to the end of an extended fiberglass operating stick. The lighter the better for optimum tool control and minimal operator fatigue.
SAFE The Utility Solutions XLT product line has the highest measured metal-to-metal clearance of any load break tool. This greatly reduces flashover potential during operation.
EASY The XLT line was designed to be user friendly and simple to operate. It incorporates an optional counter and a unique reset button located on the side which allows full tool reset without glove removal. This results in
NO MORE PINCHED FINGERS. Spare parts are readily available and inspection and maintenance procedures are easy to follow.
OPTIONSThe XLT line is offered with numerous options including a Pad Mount version, hard case, soft case, extended insulated hood, and an economical non-counter version.

The Pad Mount option “P” uses a uniquely designed operating arm that creates a lower profile to provide maximum clearance for the tight confines in pad gear. This option also comes standard with an extended insulated hood.
