Utility Solutions Inc. is proud to announce the newest member of the Break-Safe(R) family of portable Loadbreak and Load-Pickup tools. The Break-Safe(R) 600 is fully rated from 7.2 kV to 27 kV and 600 amps. This is the industry''s first portable switch rated at 600 amp for all three tool functions: load dropping, load pickup and continuous current duty.

Some of the unique patent pending features include an extra large clamp capable of handing all wire sizes up to nearly 2” inch diameter. Dual conductor bars allow the use of two mechanical jumper clamps, which is needed to go above the typical 300 amp rating of mechanical jumpers. For 300 amp applications and below, one jumper clamp is all that is needed.

This tool is designed with a patent pending internal safety lock. If the tool is not reset, the tool will not open. This helps assure the user the tool is reset for the next operation. An external, manual locking pin is also included as a lock-out to keep the tool either locked open or locked closed as an extra measure of safety. Durable electrical grade fiberglass housings and glove friendly installation add to the ease of use of this innovative tool. As with all Break-Safe(R) products, all operations are performed with a hot stick, keeping the user a safe distance away during loadbreak and load-pickup operations.
