Accountant

The Accountant will work under the guidance and direction of the Accounting Manager.This individual will be responsible for executing the day-to-day financial functions for Utility Solutions, Inc. as well as other various duties assigned to them.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in the day-to-day operations of the company
Assist with month-end closing process
Complete year-end closing process and gathering of information for tax returns
Product costing and variance analysis
Completion of assigned account reconciliations
Setup and maintenance of vendors
Entering vouchers into ERP system
Act as a backup for purchasing
Act as a backup for payroll processing
Capital asset tracking
Work with department supervisors to develop a yearly budget
Ad hoc reporting
Assist with Sales and Use Tax returns
Assist with inventory cycle counts
Other miscellaneous tasks as required

Education and Experience:

BA/BS or equivalent in accounting
Prior audit experience is a plus
3+ years of experience in accounting

Requirements:

General ledger experience
Previous cost accounting experience
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Experience with accruals
Self-motivated and ability to work with limited guidance in a team setting
Strong problem solving & analytical skills
Strong organization and planning skills
SQL and database knowledge are a plus

Engineer

Utility Solutions, Inc is currently seeking Entry Level Engineers to join our team. We design and manufacture specialized tools for use in the Electrical Utility industry. Our tools are designed for use on live power lines.

We are seeking Mechanical, Electrical and Industrial Engineers. Responsibilities will include Product Development, Manufacturing Process Improvement and Application Engineering. Utility Solutions was founded and built with engineering leadership. We expect our engineers to be leaders. We offer state of the art equipment for the design and manufacturing of our products. The ideal candidates will be those looking for responsibility, challenges, and to make their ideas a reality.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution.

We are seeking an experienced sales professional to join our organization as Sales Manager in the Southern Region covering Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. Must be self-motived, growth oriented, a good communicator with a proven history of success.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Include territory management, creating new opportunities, product approval, presentations, territory growth, customer service and the ability to develop new business through existing customers and new prospects.
Initiate and follow through on product approval process.
Coordinate successful sales strategy with the Manufacturers Representative and Distribution Network. Follow commercial price policy.
Travels throughout the territory to provide technical demonstrations and / or presentations of all products to prospects as well as existing customers.
Work closely with Customer Service to keep account activities current.
Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information.
Evaluate market trends and opportunities with existing or new products.
Advise management of new product ideas to increase market share.
Participate in trade shows, exhibitions as needed.
